The area

Speakeasy Cafe is our absolute favorite for a morning latte and a pastry. Cara Mai's does great takeout pizza, around the corner, 4 minute walk. Roots is the nicer dinner. Worth checking what's on at the Paramount.

Pico is 15 minutes, Killington 25, Okemo 35. The bus to Killington and Pico leaves from a station about 10 minutes' walk away, which beats parking at the mountain in February. The Amtrak station is the same walk, if you'd rather not drive up at all.
